So as you may know, I just had a HUGE birthday last Saturday. I turned the big two-five! Yep. A quarter of a century old now. I feel pretty much exactly the same, but that's beside the point. Now I can rent a car by myself... I think... What are the perks of being 25 again? Regardless, it was a birthday and people tend to give you things on your birthday so it was all good. My parents came to town to celebrate and we started off the morning at Marché for brunch. Blood Orange Mimosas, Quiche Lorraine, and a few almond croissants later we were stuffed.

My mom and I dropped the boys back off at home and we headed for the mall. We did some great shopping/bonding before it was already time for dinner! Dinner was at Mafiaoza's on 12 South- yummm pizza! After dinner we headed home for cake and presents. Oh, and did I mention that I wore a sequined skirt all day long? It was my birthday- therefore totally allowed!

The cake was a homemade yellow butter cake with homemade milk chocolate frosting- oh and my very own glass jar of sprinkles- all courtesy of  my mom. After cake?? Time to unwrap some gifts!

My parents got me a beautiful vintage pink milkglass cake stand and a vintage light green butter dish. So soso cute! I have picture of those in my next post regarding my gifts from Roger-- A snazzy new camera!! I had my D80 for almost 6 years and I thought it was time to trade it in for something a little fresher so he got me a Nikon D7000 and a brand new Nikon 35mm fixed focal length lens. And, happy Allison's birthday to my dad- he got my old camera so he can start up his very own Etsy store! After gifts we settled in for the night and watched Hannibal. All in all, it was a fantastic birthday and I couldn't be happier to have turned 25. From what I've heard, it's a fantastic age to be. I'll let you know ;)
