Conditioning the Walls

Part of the decision to paint the dining room black stemmed from our love of chalkboard paint. Since we have a chair rail already built in, we decided to use chalkboard paint above it and a super high-gloss black below it to give some contrast. Both needed 2 coats. 3 days after the chalkboard paint was applied you have to go back and "condition" the paint to make it easily erase-able. That means we had to rub chalk over then entire surface and then wipe it off- it gives the wall a dust coating. Well today was day 3 so we got to coloring! It was a dusty process but now we can write on the walls! I set up my camera and tri-pod to take time lapse photos again (because I am crazy addicted). Enjoy!
