Yesterday started with some homemade biscuits, bacon, and banana crumb muffins- breakfast is the most important meal of the day, after all!

Last night while sitting at the head table for dinner, Sofie asked Michelle and me if we ever go out in the evenings. We responded with "no." She told us we need to just get out and do stuff. We responded with "ok!" We cleared our dinner plates and headed out in the middle of the 4th round of Rockbrook Camp Forever. We decided to head to Asheville and hit up the Chocolate Lounge everyone was talking about. It lived up to its reputation.

They had all sorts of chocolate concoctions- from solid bars to liquid truffles you enjoy through a straw. A drink called the Mudwrestler caught our attention: "local porter beer, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a shot of espresso, and a drizzle of house made chocolate sauce. Seriously." (As the menu so perfectly put it)

The description of this cake... drool!! "Local beer imparts a dark, malty flavor in moist, dense chocolate cake. Layered with coffee buttercream." Next time, I'm definitely getting that! Last night I opted for a lavender and vanilla bean creme brulee- delish!

(Live music!)

It was a crazy spontaneous night that was just what we needed! Michelle is a wonderful travel companion and I can't wait to make the trip to Lynchburg, VA for a certain someone's wedding with her!
