Last night Roger and I got all fancy and attended a 140's themed party at Eryn's house. It was full of well dressed people drinking champagne and celebrating the new year.
Roger and I went thrifting a few hours before the party and found the perfect outfits. He found a wool/polyester suit that fit him nearly perfectly. I only had to lengthen the hems on the pants. (side note: when we were shopping for sport coats for him to wear to our wedding we had an insanely hard time finding one that fit him- first one he tries on at the thrift store and bingo! Even more proof that he was born in the wrong decade.) He wore black loafers and a black skinny tie I made for him for Mark and Jo's wedding.
I found a great mustard colored vintage floor length dress. It has a chiffon overlay on the bodice with wing-type sleeves, rhinestone fascinators on the shoulders and a brooch at the waist. Yellow peep-toe frye shoes and a headband from Anthropologie for accessories.
Roger's suit was only $14 and my dress was a whopping $9.
