It's been a while since I've posted on here, but it's because I've barely had a moment to sit down at my computer with all the weaving I've been doing! It's another snow day today in Nashville which will set me behind a bit, but I love snow so much that I can't complain too much.
I recently had the honor of being interviewed by the sweetest couple Christi and Jeremy who are the founders of an online publication called Woven Magazine. They found my work on Instagram and wanted to find out a little more about my creative process and how I became a professional weaver. I hosted them at my studio at the beginning of the year and they were so easy to talk to- they completely understand how hard it is to be an artist but also how rewarding it is to create.
They brought their cameras and took a ton of pictures- both digital and film, of my studio, my work, and myself. I was enlisted to model some of my pieces for the photos. The interview was published today and I am completely humbled by their kind words. I found myself rambling a bit throughout the interview because it's so rare to find people who are genuinely interested in why I make my art instead of just what it looks like but they were kind enough to let me go on and on and were able to take the meaning behind my ramblings and put it much more eloquently into their article.
